What is pre maxilla?

The premaxilla is a specialized bone located at the front of the upper jaw in many vertebrates, including mammals, reptiles, and some birds. It is typically triangular in shape and consists of two fused bones, one on either side of the midline. The premaxilla helps to form the front part of the upper jaw and holds the front teeth in place.

In humans, the premaxilla is part of the maxilla bone and is located in the center of the upper jaw, just below the nasal bones. It contains four incisor teeth that are often referred to as "central incisors." The premaxilla is important for the development of the face and jaw, and abnormalities or malformations in this bone can lead to craniofacial defects and other health issues.
